About the Band
What do you call a bunch of local Musicians who are seasoned Entertainers, who like to get a little wild, dance like nobody’s watching and push the musical envelope? how about The South Side Johnny Band….. with the killer lineup of Amy Strobel ( Lead Vocals), Kent Burgess (Vocals, Lead/Rhythm Guitar), Mike Lambardo (Bass Guitar), J.D. Wheeler (Drums), Glenn Sies (Vocals, Lead Guitar and Jon Bollwerk (Vocals, Keyboards, Drums, Harmonica) they unabashedly claim to be a “Party Rock Dance Show Band” coving all genres of music as long as it rocks and gets you up on the dance floor having a good time.
The South Side Johnny Band has entertained all over Missouri and Illinois for 31 years, They have headlined the JB Blast (St. Louis County 4th of July Celebration) as well as performing on the main stage of the Branson Star Theater in Branson MO. This talented group mix modern pop rock with southern rock, toss in some classic rock, disco, country and funk and you have a formula for a fun filled evening of fun and dancing. Playin’ nothin’ but the Hits, you will hear songs by Bruno Mars, Michael Jackson, Journey, REO, Bee Gees, Tina Turner, KC and the Sunshine Band, Fleetwood mac, Tom Petty and Metallica just to name a few. Like they always say ” We are like the St. Louis Weather…if you don’t like what you are hearing, wait a minute it will change. Come see them… you will be glad you did!
