Common Grounds Coffee House
About Us
Common Grounds Coffee House is a new business located in the downtown district on the corner of Third and Merchant. We are a Coffee House that was started by Senate Bill 40, the taxing entity for the developmentally disabled. The purpose of the business is to employ individuals with special needs to help provide them with an employment opportunity and job training in a coffee house setting.
The main floor will be the main coffee house area. The upstairs is set up to rent out for meetings, baby showers, small events, etc.
We will also be partnering with the Ste. Genevieve R-II School District’s Special Education Department and their transitional program. This will consist of Seniors, who have a disability, doing job training at the Coffee House as part of their curriculum. This will give them job training for after graduation and supply the Coffee House with potential employees.
We are open Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
“Serving up inclusion, one cup at a time.”
